I didn’t know about ERP and CRM. These are a lot of BtoB softwares for running a business efficiently. You may hear these company name, Oracle or SAP. They are global ERP companies. ERP is an abbreviation of enterprise resource planning and CRM means customer relationship management system.

ERP and CRM systems use different approaches to increase profitability. ERP focuses on reducing overheads and cutting costs. By making business processes more efficient, ERP reduces the amount of capital spent on those processes. CRM works to increase profits by producing greater sales volume. – Sysco

My client provides ERP solution to customer and expands their business in Asia. Therefore, I help to develop a website for the local market(a parents company has it though). It’s a different  IT business, but I admire it. Because a certain size of a company has to have software(in-house or outsource) for managing a company daily base. It’s essential rather than graphic design. Of cause, there is much competition to acquire a new customer. However, once a contract with new clients, it’s going to be a long relationship.

A designer should not repeat the same work over and over again. We should consider how we are going to improve process efficiency. The most important is to know what client needs.

ERP is an acronym that stands for enterprise resource planning. It’s a business process management software that manages and integrates a company’s financials, supply chain, operations, reporting, manufacturing, and human resource activities. Most companies have some form of finance and operational system in place but most of the software that’s out there can’t go beyond everyday business processes or help with future business growth.

I’ve never worked for large company. Management position may require data analytics skills. In the promotion process, the company may provide training for a potential employee. It sounds one of the benefits of corporate work.
