Story: Work as freelance
The most common question which I receive from people at a meetup is this, how do you get a client? Recently, we are under the pandemic. I am working with online clients, mainly Upwork. I received inquiries at the same time. I could keep working in 2020.
I am thinking to provide products as well as services. Therefore, I am looking at Craigslist to get some ideas. In this process, I found some category which local people is looking for freelance. That’s the new opportunity and posted by local people.
If you are freelance somewhere in the world, please check Craigslist in your city.

I did not know about Craigslist when I lived in Japan. Even, I’ve never heard.
Craigslist (stylized as craigslist) is an American classified advertisements website with sections devoted to jobs, housing, for sale, items wanted, services, community service, gigs, résumés, and discussion forums.
Craig Newmark began the service in 1995 as an email distribution list to friends, featuring local events in the San Francisco Bay Area. When I look for a room, when I want to sell a bicycle or some stuff, I used Craigslist. I posted a job offer. I got a few responses, but it was not so effective.
I would like to notes which page you can find a job as a freelance graphic/web designer.

It’s creative. You can offer your graphic/web design service here. The service page basically offers what you can do. It costs $5 per post. I received a few inquiries in the past. However, this page is very active and many people posts. Your offer will be pushed down in a few days.

The computer sounds a different category, but I can see the web design service. This is also your offer. I took a look at some services. It looks annoying. I am thinking about how I earn trust here.

According to the website above, Craigslist ranks 82. That’s impressive. There is no UI, but Craigslist works. I need to adapt to the culture in Canada and the United States.
Don’t wait for the new client through the website. You can find a client on the internet. Not only Vancouver, but I can also search craigslist in Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa. I didn’t know until if COVID does not happen. Crisis tests our creativity. Human has the ability to survive in any situation. Never give up.
