However, in terms of graphic design usage, I still have doubts about AI’s capabilities. Although platforms like Midjourney can create impressive artwork, it may not always align with the specific requirements of client projects.
During my search for AI-powered design tools, I came across Looka through a YouTube video. While I have previously tried logo generators like the one on Wix, I would like to try Looka to be more efficient. If Looka can produce satisfactory results, it can be integrated into our workflow.

What I like about the process above is that I can see a lot of icons. It gives me some ideas. I feel this looks like SquareSpace. They provide beautiful templates (general style), but customization is limited.
Learning to execution
– Can use the Looka platform for free (cannot export logo file without payment)
– Can adjust letter spacing
– Can change the balance for each element, company name, slogan and icon
Some limits:
– Cannot customize font, only choose it
– Cannot use mulch fonts on the brand name
– Cannot replace 1 letter with an icon
Generating a mockup with Looka is impressive, but the quality of the logos may not be exceptional. It’s important to remember that choosing a font alone doesn’t make a logo. However, browsing through a large selection of icons can inspire creative ideas. For non-designers, Looka could be a useful tool to create an MVP (Minimum Viable Product).
Conclusion: Exit plan
Every startup has an exit plan in mind, and I wonder what Looka’s future holds. Perhaps Looka may consider merging with Wix, SquareSpace, or a similar service. While Looka does offer a website plan, it may not compete with Wix or SquareSpace’s offerings. They have a user globally and their revenue is close to $1B.
Regardless of the future, developing products is always a good thing, and I should learn entrepreneurship from Looka which is a proudly Canadian company 🇨🇦
